Hello, I came to talk …
If you have not seen the latest Batman Movie “The Dark Knight” you are missing a lot.
By far the best superhero movie I’ve seen or rather you’ll see.
It erases the horrible aftertaste left behind by George Clooney’s “Batman and Robin”. Unlike other superhero movies that have been shown in movie houses previously this one carries with it a “sense of terror”.
I’ve been thinking lately about you, about me
Thanks to great acting done the great late Heath Ledger, Fan boys out there will tag this film as a landmark on how characters like “the Joker” should be seen on the big screen.
Despite the fact that Joker here was just wearing clown make-up, instead of having bleach white Skin. I liked the fact that he was a total unknown when it comes to his origin. I think he even told two different stories about himself and how he got his so called permanent smile on his face.
About what’s going to happen to us in the end?
Heath Ledger’s portrayal of Joker was absolutely “Absolute”, being a long time comic book reader myself. I have always had an idea on how such characters as the Joker should be represented on the big screen.
Don’t get me wrong I liked Jack Nicoleson‘s role as the Joker in Tim Burton’s version of Batman. He played him greatly but still there was something missing.
If you were afraid of clowns as a kid, Heath Ledger’s Joker will definite remind you those fears.
Were going to kill each other aren’t we.
I’ve always thought the best way to represent The Joker was to show him as the homicidal maniac that he is.
In DC comics the Joker seem have an unstable personality. He’s not the same person twice. It always depends on the situation, circumstance, mood and temperament he’s put in and above all who’s writing the story.
It’s Always the writer that carries the character in any book; it’s the artists that make characters come to life. But that’s another topic altogether.
Don’t you see I don’t want that to happen?
The Dark Knight’s story, reminded me “The Killing Joke”. One the best Joker story I’ve read in years. The jokers actions or motivation in the film bare some resemblance to that of book.
If you haven’t read it you should get it and read it now!
The Joker shot and crippled Barbara “Batgirl” Gordon, then took pictures of her naked. He kidnapped and humiliated Commissioner Gordon in a parade of circus freaks and misfits; naked!. It was his desire to drive him over the edge, just to prove a point that the world is only one “bad day” away from becoming like him.
The Joker in the Film did a similar act with Harvey Dent, and what he did with the bombs and the two ferry boats.
Perhaps you’ll kill me, perhaps I’ll kill you
